Abstract

This research project addresses the growing impact of artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of graphic design and proposes the development of a guide to preserve the relevance of designers in an increasingly automated environment. Through a qualitative approach, critical information was collected on how AI is impacting the graphic design profession. Key issues were explored, such as the quality of design generated by AI, its economic impact on the employability of designers, the creativity and originality of AI, as well as the associated ethical challenges. The target population included graphic designers and artificial intelligence professionals, although the specific criteria for sample selection were not fully detailed in the paper. The methodology focuses on the creation of a graphic piece that promotes collaboration between AI and designers, using digital tools and online platforms. The analysis of the information was carried out using a descriptive and qualitative approach, highlighting the most relevant aspects of the intersection between AI and graphic design. The evaluation of the graphic piece was carried out through a survey designed to collect direct perceptions from the target audience. In conclusion, this work seeks to empower designers to work collaboratively with AI, recognizing the importance of human creativity, ethics and constant adaptation to new technologies. The proposed guidance aims to ensure that graphic designers remain a valuable part of the industry, integrating AI as a complementary tool rather than a total replacement threat.
