Resumen

El sexismo ambivalente, conformado por actitudes hostiles y benevolentes, actúa como un estresor psicosocial que puede afectar el bienestar emocional, cognitivo y fisiológico de las mujeres. La investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar la relación entre la exposición a reglas verbales asociadas al sexismo ambivalente, el desempeño en una tarea de toma de decisiones y el balance autonómico en mujeres universitarias del Área Metropolitana de Bucaramanga. Se adoptó un enfoque cuantitativo con diseño cuasiexperimental y una muestra de 40 mujeres entre 18 y 25 años, distribuidas en dos grupos de 20 participantes. El grupo experimental fue expuesto a frases sexistas, mientras que el grupo control recibió frases neutras. Se registraron indicadores fisiológicos como variabilidad de la frecuencia cardíaca, respiración y conductancia electrodermal mediante un sistema poligráfico, y la toma de decisiones se evaluó con la Iowa Gambling Task. Los resultados conductuales mostraron que la exposición breve a frases sexistas no generó diferencias significativas en el rendimiento decisional. No obstante, se evidenció un impacto fisiológico caracterizado por mayor variabilidad cardíaca global, incrementos sostenidos en la conductancia electrodermal y variaciones en el patrón respiratorio, y estabilidad vagal, lo que sugiere un esfuerzo regulatorio asociado a la activación autonómica inducida por el estrés social.
