Transitional Justice and Education: Professional and Social Responsibility Practices in the Faculty of Law of the Simon Bolivar University

ABSTRACT For the University Simón Bolívar University social responsibility becomes a means for social transformation projecting from professional practices towards local reality through the support to the community in the various problems that students and teachers identify and address with investigative direction thanks to the implementation of the legal office of the law program, providing the necessary support for the purpose of reparations for the victims affected by the violence and forced. Supported in agreements established with international cooperation agencies and the collaborative work; legal office appropriates a social problem that breaks the silence of the usual impacting directly in the academic community and the community that creates and brings new perspectives and discussions to the academic horizon. From the contributions of teachers through research entitled “transitional justice and University: the point of view of university teachers Simón Bolívar” and regulated by the epistemological framework for university social responsibility, interpreted the opinions or views of the teachers of the Faculty of law of the Universidad Simón Bolívar on transitional justice.
