The solidarity economy in Colombia and its internationalization from producer cooperatives

The solidarity economy deepened in Europe and has begun to boom in Latin America. Today there are eight Latin American countries that have legalized the solidarity economy. The objective of this research is to give an overview of the concept of solidarity economy, how it has been approached by different authors and to identify which strategies solidarity companies have used in Colombia to internationalize. A qualitative documentary review methodology was used, where from a compilation of scientific publications, including theses, research articles and conference articles; A bibliographical review and a literature analysis of all these contributions are carried out. The findings show that cooperatives generate a positive impact in the solidarity sector and act as a fundamental part of international trade for all entities affiliated to them. In conclusion, the solidarity economy emerges as an alternative proposal to the capitalist economy, evidencing a tendency to design and create companies that allow the human part to be highlighted more; Latin American countries are promoting this type of economy to boost the regions and protect national industries, achieving the ability to enter other markets internationally.
