The following article provides a comprehensive overview of the relationship between finance, innovation, and digitalization, highlighting their importance in today’s economy and society. It points out that financial and digital innovation manifests in various forms, such as implementing new technologies for financial services and the emergence of Fintech companies. These innovations are noted to enhance the efficiency, accessibility, and personalization of financial services, as well as generate economic and social benefits. Additionally, it mentions that digital banking in Colombia has experienced remarkable growth, facilitated by factors like connectivity and the proliferation of technological devices. On the other hand, the article discusses challenges associated with financial digitalization, including cybersecurity and financial inclusion. Regulatory and legal aspects related to financial innovation are also addressed, emphasizing the need for a holistic approach to understand and address its effects on economic stability. In conclusion, financial and digital innovation can contribute to a fairer, more resilient, and sustainable financial system, but it requires careful management and continuous adaptation to technological and social changes. This analysis was conducted through a bibliographic review of various sources and studies, covering both theoretical and practical aspects of financial and digital innovation. The findings provide a deeper understanding of the benefits and challenges associated with these innovations, along with recommendations for effective implementation and regulation.
