Analysis of consumer behavior in online clothing stores in Colombia using Power BI

Abstract

This study analyzes consumer behavior in online clothing stores in Colombia using Power BI. Based on a dataset of 250 records, patterns related to purchasing habits, product categories, the impact of discounts, and time spent on the website were identified. The results showed that discounts significantly influence purchasing decisions and that jackets and sportswear are the most in-demand categories. Bogotá stood out as the city with the highest number of online purchases. It was also observed that users who spend more time browsing have a higher probability of conversion. The use of Power BI allowed the data to be transformed into interactive visualizations useful for understanding consumer behavior and supporting strategic decision-making in Colombian e-commerce.
