Abstract

Emotional intelligence in couples is the ability to recognize, understand and manage your own emotions and those of your partner. This concept is key to being able to maintain stable relationships, to resolve crisis situations, and to improve communication. In the book emotional intelligence he indicates that emotional intelligence cannot be ignored in all aspects these emotions that are empathy and self-regulation and self-awareness, are basic pillars that serve for a relationship emotionally intelligent. The book emotional intelligence also highlights that the cruciality of intelligence emotional in couples, to maintain a persevering and harmonious relationship in this book we discuss the “four horsemen of the apocalypse” which are: Criticism, contempt, defensiveness and emotional distancing.
