Decoding Dyslexia: The Importance of Typographic Fonts

Currently, dyslexia represents a problem under the spotlight, a news report published by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC, 2019) indicates that currently at least 10% of the population, equivalent to approximately 700 million people, suffer from this disorder that directly influences the correct acquisition of learning. This article seeks to explain how this limitation can be counteracted with the help of an inclusive design that directly involves the use of appropriate typefaces, so that they can be used as a tool to facilitate reading comprehension and reduce visual fatigue. From different perspectives, the intrinsic nature between the two objects of study will be exposed, which are fundamental to making learning a rewarding experience.
