Ignoring what surrounds us

Cultural symbols and heritage are the signs that establish a relationship of identity between us and the culture to which we belong; they are essentially the perceptible representation of a thought or idea. These arise from humanity's need to communicate and express its ideas. A constant evolutionary process has led them, over time, to what they are today, and we use them to represent important aspects of the culture and society to which we belong. However, with the passage of time, we have also witnessed how people have begun to ignore or overlook these representations of our culture and disregard part of who we are. The objective of this work is to investigate the reasons for this type of behavior in people, what has caused this to happen, and what the possible solution to this situation might be.
