Sostenibilidad, perdurabilidad empresarial y fallo de los servicios: una aproximación al cierre de empresas en el sector turismo

Resumen

El concepto de “turismo sostenible” presenta diversos retos para su implementación en la práctica empresarial. Desde su especificidad y exceso de generalidad, hasta la falta de integración entre las variables contenidas en las distintas conceptualizaciones por dimensiones e indicadores; dicho concepto puede terminar aportando un marco mecánico para la interpretación de los fenómenos que concurren en el sector, como son el cierre de empresas y el fallo en los servicios. En el estudio se empleó un diseño mixto basado en una estrategia emergente y concurrente. Se utilizaron como recursos metodológicos, para asegurar la confiabilidad la triangulación de fuentes, investigadores, perspectivas y métodos. Los principales resultados alcanzados sugieren la necesidad de generar modelos explicativos a la vez que comprensivos. La linealidad y el mecanicismo en las interpretaciones de los fenómenos en estudios, marca la forma en la que son percibidos, lo que depende del lente disciplinar. Además, los resultados apuntan a que el cierre de empresas, como fenómeno complejo, debe ser atendido desde posiciones integradoras.
