The consolidated information is based on the analysis of a representative group of companies in the sector that are registered in the Cúcuta Chamber of Commerce with renewal in force until 2019, using a survey as an instrument to collect information. The results show that the metalworking sector in Cúcuta is characterized by its high level of informality, low product diversification given the orientation of companies to provide services related to the transformation of ferrous metals; besides to incipient technology, low level of contracting, evidencing the high dependence that this sector had years ago with Venezuela.
