Abstract

Colombia is a country rich in ethnic diversity, characterized by its care for nature and environmental preservation. This diversity has been affected by pollution generated in the industrial production of clothing, which uses fibers derived from petroleum products that negatively impact the environment. This research aims to identify the types of clothing handcrafted by ethnic communities in different regions of the country. The methodology used was a qualitative documentary approach with a non-experimental, descriptive scope. The results obtained allowed for the identification of products handcrafted by different Colombian ethnic groups. It is concluded that this initiative can constitute an alternative for developing sustainable and environmentally friendly products in the fashion industry.
