The purchasing process of an organization must be effectively established in such a way that it allows the correct operation of the area, guaranteeing transparency and effectiveness. For this purpose, Industrial engineering has different tools that allow the identification of improvement opportunities applicable to the processes and the establishment of effective action plans that allow the control of the area. This article presents the design of the non-inventory purchases process in the company Gate Gourmet Colombia S.A.S. with the application of the Systemic thinking methodology, which within the organization is called Gate/OPEX. This methodology consists of three factors: Value chain map, formats of systemic thinking and improvement proposals, in this way, it is possible to identify the critical control points and determine effective action plans applicable to the process, which allow to respond to the identified problematic situation.
