Emotional intelligence is very important in human life: to balance the emotional response, to know how to control emotions and feelings, to know each other and to be motivated... All this gives the person the chance to become a better person, with better relationships, what he will do in his personal and professional life. The goal of achieving an emotionally mature personality is the existential and dynamic set of different particularities that make people unique and original. Emotional intelligence no longer depends on the heart, but on intentionality, on human intellectual capacity, since a primitive brain, like the one to which the limbic system is attached, is better to evolve by itself: the more control we have over our brain, over our emotions and their expression, the greater the emotional intelligence that can be acquired. To make way for their improvement, it is necessary to create emotionally positive habits, which will help to streamline and make data processing and feelings more effective. Developing emotional intelligence is vital to achieve more healthily the realization of the goals that the human being sets. However, its relationship to work performance is narrow: it is directly proportional to productivity. If a person is not emotionally stable and does not channel or redirect what they are feeling, their labor productivity will tend to fall, to bankruptcy. Therefore, acquiring it and taking it to the workplace results in an extra value to the quality of the work of the person who works. Its applications can be given in any field and, as it is the work that, mostly, the one that feeds people, balance emotional fitness with the performance of routine duties represents an added value in productivity and mental health in people. It is necessary to remember that institutions are made up of human beings, who have needs and objectives. One of those needs is to fill that feeling of emptiness (apathy, boredom, depression) and indirectly safeguard our mental health. Including them in the optimal performance of their professional activities, people such as employees, managers, leaders, have their differences in many aspects and areas, but as human beings we seek personal fulfillment (achieve motivations, ambitions). It is impossible for people to detach themselves from their emotions, which is why it is convenient to create awareness about the role that each one plays in their daily lives. Emotional intelligence is not about being 'nice' to everyone, all the time, there are even strategic moments where kindness is not exactly required. Salovey and Mayer (1990) present an empirically proven theoretical model on the conception and manifestation of emotional intelligence in a set of competencies or abilities (p, 44) In that order of ideas, emotional intelligence is basically based on a set of generic competencies and skills. Emotional intelligence is like the talent of noticing, understanding and mastering our emotions and those of others. Or as a group of skills that can be taught with the aim of controlling, directing thoughts and mutual social action. Studies indicate that a high magnitude of emotional intelligence increases the ability to cope with stress and control the harmful emotions that drive down and restlessness, through the understanding of emotions and the progress of strategic planning to carry the events that create judgments negatives. Intelligence research began several years ago and has been pluralized, finding different types of intelligence, such as: musical intelligence, body kinesthetic intelligence, logical-mathematical intelligence, linguistic intelligence, spatial intelligence, interpersonal intelligence. intrapersonal intelligence and emotional intelligence.
