Relationship between circular economy and nature tourism

Abstract

Talking about a circular economy means mentioning
issues such as sustainability, waste minimization and,
in the long term, economic development. This research
used a qualitative paradigm of a documentary review
type to find the relationship between nature tourism
and the circular economy from scientific databases.
The Scopus database was used for the quality of its
editorial processes and the VOSviewer software to make
bibliometric networks visible. Three clusters with research
trends were identified: Circular economy for development,
Responsible tourism, and Sustainable challenges. The first
cluster shows a direct relationship between the circular
economy, profitability, and job creation. Regarding the
second cluster, the need for social awareness in the tourism
sector as a factor of responsibility with both internal and
external clients could be observed. While the third cluster
highlights the challenges of this association and the way
to contribute to the objective of sustainable development

implement digital transformation in new business models.
