Abstract

This study focused on developing a web platform to enhance academic administration in official educational institutions in Aguachica, Cesar, in accordance with Colombian educational system regulations. The main objective was to design a technological tool that facilitates compliance with legal guidelines and optimizes administrative and academic processes at the preschool, primary education, secondary education, and technical middle levels. The methodology employed was qualitative and descriptive, using a non-numeric approach to collect and analyze data. The research was based on the agile methodology iWeb, which structured the platform development into phases: formulation, planning, analysis, engineering, page generation, testing, and client evaluation. This methodology allowed for continuous adaptation to user requirements and changes in educational regulations. Among the most significant findings, it was identified that the developed web platform addressed major issues in information management and report generation, improving data accessibility and accuracy. Despite having a previous system for managing report cards and certificates, the new tool covered more requirements and provided a comprehensive solution to previous issues, including connectivity problems in institutions. In conclusion, the implementation of the platform has facilitated more efficient academic administration in compliance with regulations. The agile methodology enabled effective adjustments during development, ensuring a functional tool tailored to the specific needs of the educational environment. The experience demonstrates that integrating appropriate technological solutions can significantly enhance the quality and effectiveness of educational management.
